Our Mission

Our Founder

founderMajor W. Ian Thomas founded the Capernwray Missionary Fellowship in England in 1947. His primary purpose was to provide an environment for people to discover who Jesus Christ is and to develop an intimate relationship with their Lord and Saviour. By teaching God’s Word, Capernwray is preparing men and women to go throughout the world to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ. There are now 25 centers in 20 countries being established and all are designed to equip Christians for effective living and service, regardless of their occupation.

Our History

main_centerCapernwray (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in Malaysia in 1999 for the purpose of training and equipping Christians to serve. We are thankful that God has provided us with donated land in Gopeng to establish a Christian conference and retreat centre. This is now available for use having completed in April 2007. We would like to invite you to be part of God’s plan and history in Malaysia to see men and women trained and equipped for service through your prayers, financial support, and participation of our various programs and activities.

Our Mission Statement

Our purpose is to train and equip men and women…
  1. In a working knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Living Word; knowing Him more deeply and personally as their risen and indwelling Lord.
  2. In personal disciplines of studying, applying and communicating the message of God’s Written Word.
  3. To discover and prove in every day experience the reality of the Christian Life; Christ’s Life in and through them.
  4. In being more effective members of their local church in the exercise of their spiritual gifts.
  5. For full-time Christian service regardless of their vocation.

Our Statement of Faith

  1. We accept the whole Bible as the inspired revelation of God to man.
  2. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, in equality with the Father, and that by Him the Father created all things.
  3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ became Man through the miraculous operations of the Holy Spirit, and that He was without sin.
  4. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, died willingly in the place of sinners, to become the Redeemer of this fallen World, and the only Mediator through Whose atoning Blood, and by faith in Whom alone, we receive forgiveness of sins.
  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ rose again from the dead, appeared to His disciples, and returned to the Father; that on the day of Pentecost He came in the Person of His Holy Spirit to dwell within the hearts of all who had received Him, and thereby established His Church, the Body of Christ on earth, a Fellowship of all true Believers, of which He is the Head.
  6. We believe in God the Holy Spirit, co-equal Member of the Trinity, and that He is present in the hearts of all who through faith have received the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, and who are thereby born again, the children of God, who is the Father of them that believe.
  7. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again in Person to this earth and that by Him God will judge the World.
